As our business continues to grow, we are looking to appoint an Estimator to join our team and work alongside our existing Estimator during a planned transition period.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced construction professional to join a thriving business and benefit from a structured handover, gaining valuable knowledge and insight from a highly experienced colleague before taking on the role in full.

The Role

Working closely with our Commercial, Land and Production teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for new residential developments, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and appraisals for new developments
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender information
• Assisting with land appraisals and development viability assessments
• Maintaining and updating cost databases and benchmarking information
• Identifying value engineering opportunities where appropriate
• Supporting the Commercial team throughout the pre-construction process
• Liaising with consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous estimating experience within residential construction or housebuilding
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Good communication and relationship-building abilities
• A proactive and organised approach to work
• Strong IT skills, including Excel and estimating software
